Marking Period 3:
21abc:

In this project we did 3 different things. 21 a was easy because we had to draw the shape in label it basic shapes. 21 b we had to copy the same object and make it 3D by using a push and pull. And for the last one we had to use the shape and pencil tool to write in the letters and then make the letters appear 3D.

22: Shape One:

In this project we had to replicate the shape number one and the we had to fill the shape with one color for each side. For example the front view had to be red and the back had to be blue. We had to use exact measurement so the shape was 100% accurate with the board. This was hard at first but got easier.

  I had to use the arc tool and use push and pull in order to get this object. I had to use the circle and square tool as well.

Ginger Bread House:

23:Ginger Bread House Original:

In this Project we had to look at ginger bread house and try to copy it and add some of our own ideas. I used the rectangle, pencil, circle tool to make the outline of the house. After that i used the push and pull to make a 3D. After that i add little designs such as the windows,door, candy cane, cookie and the chimney. I color them red white and green in the spirit of Christmas. This was a very full project to fun to do.

24: 3D ART

 this project was very confused but my friend helped me. What i did was chose the background and positioned the ginger bread house as it was in the card added an effect. I duplicated the ginger bread house slide and unchecked the boxes in channel. I unchecked G and B in the duplicated slide and unchecked R in the original layer and I got this 3D effect.

25: Glowing Button

 This project it took longer then expected. We first had to use the ellipse tool to make the outline of the button. After that we had to add specific effects to make the button black. We then  duplicated the button and used free transform to make a smaller circle which would be the white inside. Then add effects to the inside and then add many more effects to make the inside with lots of aluminum circles. after that we added the power symbol we put the green effects to make it glow. finally we did the animation to make it repeatedly glow and saved it as a GIF file as shown above.

26: Show case           

                                                                                                                     

This assignment was very hard at first but my friend helped me with the beginning in return i helped him with the last part. He helped me make the light which i was struggling with. After that i had to use the ellipse tool to in order make the light appear real. we set the opacity to 10%  and direct the light to your picture. After that we just make a background white and blend it into the show case.

27: MCSM Brochure

In this project we made a School Brochure of our schedule and wrote a small summary of it. I got pictures of the text books and other things that relate to the class and then pasted them in the brochure. After that i would write in the time and teacher for that class. This Project was very easy and simple.

Semester Summary 

When I first came to this class it was in 5th period. I loved that period because i finally received a class with one of my good friends. But sadly after a week or two i got transferred out that class. It was a sad day but it was worth it because all my friends here are amazing and helped me with the projects. I learned how to use Photoshop for the first  in my life. I didn't know a thing about it. But after doing several projects i got use to it. For example plastic text, filters, picture text and etc. In Illustrator i learned how to make a real looking flash drive. I also made a living room with only using like 5 colors. It came out amazing but the cactus came out looking bad. I learned a lot from Google sketch. And this is the future software i will use if i want to be an architect. I learned how to make shapes with weird ends. I also made a gingerbread house which was totally cool. It would have got 1st place. Overall this class taught me what i never knew was possible.

11: Club Flyer:

In this project we had to chose a picture that reflected the club and write about the club. For example the place the time and when. Also we had to use three of the four text we learned how to do. For this project i used the glass effect, plastic effect and the photo filled effect. This was a very easy project to do. We had it make it 5” and 7” and then use the text box to write about it using the text we learned.

12: Texture layer mode:

In this project we had chose a suit and then choose any design we want and apply to the suit. First we had to create a new layer then paste the suit after that we had to use the magnetic lasso and the copy the merge. After that we would paste the design and clip the layer together and move the design around until it was on the suit and looked good. We had to play with the opacity to make it blend in.

13: NYC Food Bank Poster:

In this project we had to find picture that would represent nyc food bank poster. I choose skittles because many people like them but they are unhealthy. Basically I pasted the and wrote about raisin and how good that are. I used blending option to make the text look better and more appealing. The starting of the project was hard but when you get everything down its very easy to do.

14: Halloween Jack-O-Lantern :

In this project we had to chose a pumpkin to make it a jack-o-lantern. First we had to apply an effect on the picture itself after that we had use the pen tool to draw the eyes nose etc.After we drawn the eyes and nose we had to go to blending option and apply specific effects to the parts. After that we used the text box to write in Curlz MT Regular. finally we had use the brush tool in opacity 10% and show that the jack-o-lantern was glowing. This project was really fun to do.

15a: Flag Displacement:

In this project we had to apply the american flag to a brick wall. We had to follow step is tutorial board. First we had to open up the flag and brick wall and then click rasterize layer. After that we had apply hard light to both the pictures. After that we had to copy the brick wall and desaturate it. After that we save the project and opened it up with distort and displace. After that we had to play around with the opacity.

15b: Flag Face:

This project was very similar to the flag displacement. The only difference in this project was all the effect we applied to the brick wall would apply to the face. Also We had to erase the flag outside the face including the mouth and eyes. This project was very simple and easy.

16: Smart Filter Motion Blur:

In this project we had to get a picture of a non moving object and apply filters to make it appear to move. We had to open as smart filter and then apply motion blur. After that we had to erase the effect on the train. This project was very easy and simple.

17: Quick Mask

In this we looked for picture of yellow teeth. We first turned on the quick mask blur mode button. Then we used the brush tool and adjusted the diameter of the brush. Then, we painted over areas we wanted to select. Then we inverse it, and then we had to switch the foreground colors to paint over any mistakes. Then we turned the quick mask mode off, and clicked inverse again. The result is above.

18: Soft Skin Glow

In this project we had to combine both of the steps from project 16 and 17. We had to convert it to a smart filter and after we turned on the Gaussian blur and then we used the add a layer mask and used the brush tool to cover parts that wasn't the skin like her skin etc. We painted over important features to bring them out. And then we changed the layer opacity to get amount of glow we want.

What I Learned from Photo Shop:
-3: Filters: I learned to apply different kinds of filters to pictures.
-4: See through banners: I learned how make the text banner see through the background.
-5a: Opacity: I learned you could make the color lighter with the opacity.
-5b: Coloring pictures using photo shop: I learned how color in a non colored picture using the magic wand.
-5c: Tinting: I learned another way to color in picture such as black and white pictures.
-6a: Gradient tool chick: I learned how to make a chick using the gradient tool.
-6b: Gradient + Brush tool: I learned how to apply more then one gradient effects.
-6c: Colorful Cover: I learned hoe make a cool looking cover.
-7: Glass effect text: I learned how to make text see through.
-8: Photo filled text: I learned how use the picture as the text of the words.
-9: Plastic effect text: I learned how to make the text look like plastic.
-10: Crazy text: I learned how to make a cool looking text that took a lot of time but the results were crazy.
-13: Texture layer mode: I learned how to apply any design to any clothing.
-14: Glowing Jack-o-Lantern: I learned how to make a jack-o-lantern using a regular pumpkin and making it glow as well. 
-15a: Flag displacement: I learned how to merge a flag and a wall.
-15b: Flag face: I learned how apply the flag to a face and make it look like face paint.
-16: Smart filter: I learned how to make objects look like they are moving.
-17: Quick mask: I learned photo shop some ones teeth and make it look white.
- 18: Soft skin Glow: I learned how to make someone skin appear like its glowing.

19: Flash Drive

 In This project we used Adobe Illustrator which is another editing software just like Photoshop. In this project we had to make a flash drive. We had to make several rectangles and we had to put in specific location and opacity of black. After that we had to merge the squares on the top and add details to them to make them look legit. After that we had to add the text box add our name into the flash drive.

20: Phone

This huge project was very difficult and long. We first had to open up a rectangle with the size of 147 440 and then you have to put round edges to make the cover appear circular . After that we have to offset path -4 pixels. Then we set the gradient color to a specific color so the phone looks realistic. After we have to offset path again then put the gradient colors again. We have to repeat these steps one more time and after that we have to create rectangle 128 by 110 and position it by the screen of the phone. We then have to offset the screen and set the gradient grey to black , after that we make a small rectangle of 101 by 43 for the screen that displays your name. then set that to round corners. We basically had to play around with the gradient colors and then make the buttons by make small rectangles and applying effects to them. For the symbols we use wingding to do the the different kind of shapes. At last we made the mic and speaker by making a small circle and applying effects to make them look realistic. Overall I am proud of my cordless phone.

Extra Credit:

In this project we had to only 5 different colors. We had to use the bugle and the vertical and horizontal warp. We had to put in specific number of bend and and the vertical warp. Each object made was made by a rectangle and then we warped it into the object shape like the vase and chair. The flower, cactus and the table was one of the object that used an oval  and we also had to warp that too.
